Easy Chocolate Protein Balls

If you’re after some healthy snacks, its quick and easy to whip up a batch of these bliss balls. Keep them in the fridge for a delicious, protein snack to keep you going.


1/2 cup walnuts (50 grams) (for Vitamin E, folate, Omega-3s)
1/2 cup cashews (50 grams) (for Vitamins E, K, B6, magnesium, iron and selenium)
1 tbsp pepitas (for iron, zinc, fibre and good fats)
1 cup almond meal (80 grams) (protein and calcium)
1/4 cup raw cacao (20 grams) (for magnesium, calcium, iron, antioxidants)
12 dates, seeds removed (180 grams) (for energy, fibre and vitamins)
1 tablespoon honey (30 grams) (antibacterial, antifungal, energy)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt

Extras to roll them in at the end: melted dark organic chocolate, dessicated coconut, goji berries, crushed nuts such as pistachios.


Place all the ingredients into your food processor or Thermomix and blend at high speed until the mixture resembles a fine, sticky paste. Firmly press and shape the mixture into balls. Coat with any ofthe extras or leave as they are. Place in the fridge to set.
Eat and enjoy as a wholesome snack on the go!
